The mosque was inaugurated on August 30, 1993 and has the tallest minaret in the world at 200 meters. There is room for 20,000 worshippers inside the mosque at the same time and the courtyard offers space for another 80,000. Space Imaging's IKONOS satellite took this image 15 April 2001.
